Michael (Smooth Jazz On The Rocks) Lyles, is Owner and Program Director of KJSR-DB. Bringing you 'smooth jazz from the heart', his love of and passion for music is felt through every song he chooses.

A Harrisburg, PA native, his love for radio programming came from an opportunity with the Boys and Girls Club of Harrisburg where he was provided hands on experience with running a radio station. This led to an opportunity with a local R&B station, the now defunct Magic 107 FM where he participated in special events. Mike's other passion is sports, especially basketball which ultimately led him to playing & coaching in semi pro leagues in Phoenix AZ. While in Phoenix he continued expressing his love of music as Chief Programming Officer at KSGR-DB “Smooth Groove Phoenix - The Vibe".

At KSJR-DB Mike takes his considerable talent and skill to the next level, brilliantly mixing classic smooth jazz with just the right mix of music from new talent that are bound to become classics. About his music choices Mike says he likes to "think out of the box" not by following formula and tradition but by playing the music that best interprets soul of the artist and the desire of the audience to just hear great music.
